Tim Bauer Keystone Legends Tour Winner at Linda's
Bill Diehl Takes 2013 Tour Crown

(Jonestown , PA , August 23, 2013) Tim Bauer of Allentown, PA ended months of miserable racing luck by taking the Keystone Legends Tour 20-lap ‘A' Main Friday night at Linda's Speedway. Bauer started on the pole and led the opening circuit over Joe Plunkett, Rick Miller, Randy Fetterolf, and Greg Burd. With two laps in the books, Clinton Penkauskas was making a strong move inside the top five, made contact with Plunkett, and sent him spinning in turn four. Chris Spidle was also collected in the melee and Penkauskas was sent to the rear on the restart. Only one more lap was completed before Fetterolf got sideways in front of the field off a tricky turn four, touching off contact between Burd, Montgomery, and Scott Transeau, which sent all three to the pits for repairs.

Bauer remained at the point as the field ran the final seventeen laps with only a tangle between Ehrisman and Fetterolf on lap six and a solo spin by Penkauskas with fourteen complete to slow the action. Bauer was not to be denied as he held Miller at bay to the checkers. Bill Diehl completed a fine run from eleventh to claim third position and enough points to secure his first Tour championship. Vernon Houseman posted a fine fourth place finish and Scott Houdeshell rebounded from problems in his heat race to take fifth. Scott Spidle, Jason Fuhrman, George Abt, Scott Deaner, Sr. and Randy Fetterolf completed the top ten.

Heat winners for the 19-car field were Tim Bauer and Randy Fetterolf.

Bill Diehl of Wrightsville, PA is the 2013 Keystone Legends Tour Champion (492) over Scott Houdeshell (416), Clinton Penkauskas (411), Greg Burd (364), Lucas Montgomery (358), Vernon Houseman (325), Rick Miller (324), Chad Earnst (315), Scott Spidle (296), and Chris Spidle (289).
